Struggling to get email alerts from your forms in the new Wix Studio (2025)? You’re not alone. The latest update changed where notification settings live — but the good news is, it’s still easy to set up once you know where to click.
This step-by-step tutorial walks you through exactly how to activate form submission email notifications, so you never miss a lead, inquiry, or contact form message again.
Why This Matters
Whether you're running a service business, an online store, or a personal portfolio, missing a form submission can mean missing a potential client. With the new Forms experience in Wix Studio, the process to set up email alerts has shifted — and many users aren’t sure where to go.
Let’s walk through how to fix that and make sure notifications go straight to your inbox every time someone submits a form on your site.
Step 1: Go to Forms & Submissions
Start by logging into your Wix Dashboard. From the main sidebar, navigate to:
Customers & Leads → Forms & Submissions
This is where all of your site’s forms are managed. Find the specific form you want to edit. Click the three-dot menu (⋮) on the right-hand side of that form, then choose:
Form Notifications
Step 2: Open the Notifications & Automations Panel
Inside the form’s settings, scroll until you see the section labeled:
Notifications & Automations
Click Edit to open the full notification settings.
You’ll see a panel with an action called Send an Email — this is where we’ll define who gets alerted.
Step 3: Add Email Recipients
Click into the Send an Email block, then scroll down to Set Recipients.
Here’s how to add the right email addresses:
Click Add Recipients
Choose Contacts
Click Create New
Enter your name and email address
Click Save, then Add
Repeat this process for any team members or additional recipients you want to include.
Step 4: Save & Publish
Once your recipients are added, review everything to make sure it’s correct.
Finally, click Publish Changes at the top of the screen.
That’s it — your form is now fully connected, and email notifications will be sent every time someone submits it.
